If your candle won’t stay lit, don’t worry—trimming the wick usually solves the problem! The flame relies on melted wax as fuel, and an overly long or dirty wick can prevent proper wax flow. Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/8" to 3/16" by gently removing the curled, blackened tip—just the very top, not the entire wick. This ensures a clean, steady burn and prevents excessive smoke or flickering.
